The World Prayer Calendar provides prayer coverage for important areas of life in our communities and the world. Through it, we partner with the Holy Spirit in His work around the world:
- Help believers identify and focus on areas of spiritual need in our communities and the world. 1 Timothy 2:1-3
- Encourage intentional prayer in alignment with God’s will to be done on earth. Matthew 6:10
- Support believers in partnering with the Spirit for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Revelations 11:15, Galatians 4:19
- Support and strengthens believers, enhancing the unity of the Spirit as together we offer spiritual sacrifices of prayers and intercession to God. I Peter 2:5

Focused Prayer for Community Impact: Choose one major place of influence in your city and give focused prayer to its affairs, leadership, people, and overall well-being. This could be a hospital or medical center, an independent school district, a university or college, or another important institution that shapes the life of the community. Pray for wisdom in decision-making, protection over those who serve and are served there, and meaningful impact that brings peace, health, learning, justice, and progress to the wider community. |

Pray for persecuted believers and mission work all around the world. Pray for boldness, protection, and the work of the Comforter for workers and their families. Please find helpful references below:

| Thursday | Pray for your community or city, asking God to heal, deliver, and revive. Pray for your city and local government for the fear of God and wisdom in decision-making |
| Friday | Pray for your country. Ask God to guide the government and its people. Pray for salvation, healing, and revival across the land. The business sector has great power and influence, so pray for God’s presence and influence in trade and commerce. |
| Saturday |
World Watch: Stay informed about global events. We are reminded that behind every crisis are real people, families, communities, and nations in need of prayer, compassion, and wise response. Pray for those affected by earthquakes, floods, famine, civil wars, and every form of human suffering. Pray for the governments of nations, that leaders would act with wisdom, justice, mercy, and courage. Ask God to prevent disasters where possible, and where crisis has already come, pray for the ministry of the comforter, to strengthen and sustain those who are suffering. Please, use news media and other reliable resources such as Christian Aid, MinistryWatch, and the Red Cross to understand the needs of people around the world. Let what you learn guide your prayers and move you to respond with greater care, wisdom, and compassion. |
