Our Mental Health and Wellbeing.

For Mental Health and wellbeing

If you have ever been stressed, worried, confused, or felt like you were about to lose your mind, then you understand what I am talking about. A healthy mind is of extreme importance.

Stress has a way of weighing us down. It can make us feel hopeless, turning even the simplest everyday tasks into something that feels like climbing a steep hill. It drains our willpower and robs us of vitality and strength. And when many pressures come at once, life can begin to feel bleak and quite overwhelming.

The right prescription can help lift the strain on our minds, helping us relax, a stress-removing medicine. It is not something you take with your hands though, but something you carry within your heart. It works like a pill, but goes deeper. Truth that restores the fear of God in you and I will also restore balance to our minds.

The lost medicine

The fear of God is a value that is largely lost in our world today. Yet it is more than just a value, it is a Spirit. It is a vital cultural force, and a mental and emotional pillar that keeps us grounded in true sanity.

The fear of God reminds us of something essential: we are not everything. We are not all in all. We do not have the wisdom, the foresight, or the authority to do everything we are capable of doing. Just because something is within our power does not mean it is right for us to act on it.

This awareness restrains us. It keeps us from emotional excesses and impulsive decisions that often backfire and ultimately harm us.

Why is the fear of God able to do this? Because it places us before a higher reality. It reminds us that we are seen. That there is a higher authority beyond ourselves. It humbles us with the awareness that we do not know the full consequences of our actions or the regrets that may follow. It teaches us that life is not centered around us, it is bigger than us.

Not only that, but the fear of God also stabilizes our inner world. It helps keep our mental and emotional health balanced. Knowing that God is present, unchanging, and near, that we are not alone—anchors us. It centers on us in truth.

A Similar Story

Jesus illustrated this in Matthew 21:33–34 with the parable of the vinedressers. The owner planted a vineyard and entrusted it to caretakers, but because he was away, they acted as though they were unaccountable. When he sent servants, they mistreated and killed them. Finally, when he sent his son, they killed him too.

Why did they act this way? Because the owner was out of sight. And when something is out of sight, it can easily slip out of mind. They became consumed with immediate gain and failed to consider the future—failed to consider that the owner would return.

We are not unlike them. God has entrusted us with much—our lives, our relationships, our families, our work, our gifts, and our opportunities. Even our very selves have been entrusted to us. The question is; what will we do with what we have been given? Will we steward it? How will we grow our minds? Will we will consider God with our decisions?

Our Culture says

Our culture often pushes fear aside, speaking of it only in negative terms. We are blinded by wealth, comfort, pleasure, and good experiences as though they will last forever—but they will not. Either they will leave us, or we will leave them.

There is indeed a kind of fear that is unhealthy, the kind that paralyzes and prevents action. But there is another kind: a holy fear that produces wisdom. It teaches us restraint. It teaches us to listen more than we speak. It leads us to think carefully before we act.

The truth is simple: the owner of the vineyard - our lives is coming. Sooner than we think.

And when He comes, there will be an account. So, there is much at stake in life.

Think a Little Deeper

So, let’s take time to examine ourselves. Let’s step outside of your own immediate thoughts and reflect on our thoughts and why we think what we think. Let us speak to our souls often. More importantly, let us speak to God often. The ability to think rightly and live rightly, at deeper levels, comes from Him.

Scripture tells us that being wise and discerning begins with the fear of God. Right thinking begins there. Right believing begins there. A sound mind is rooted there.

My Prayer for Us

My prayer for you and I is this; that the fear of God would be restored in our lives—not as dread, but as clarity, balance, and truth. That it would bring us wisdom, sanity, and a healthy and truth-grounded mind.

Because the fear of God is where true life begins.

So talk to God today, ask him for His mercy and grace. Ask Him to take the burden you feel (while you let go of it) and replace it with His presence. You’ll begin to see that your problems actually fears God.
